Has anyone seen 2026? Oh, it's halfway over, you say?

I fear I was swept up in a mini tornado of a kitchen renovation and oldest daughter graduating before the winds finally slowed and dropped me to the ground mostly unharmed, if with slightly looser screws and a feverish case of imposter syndrome. It's dreadfully hard to hold a pencil let alone keep your paper flat in a tornado, you see.

(Here's one of first appearances on this blog.)

BUT GOOD NEWS! Three new poems arrived in the mail and reminded me that I am still a writer, even through periods of meterological interference.

Basketball loving dinos cleaning up are featured in “The World’s a Hoop” (The School Magazine: Touchdown, 2026.)

The cutest pups and kittens are rescued in “Raining Cats & Dogs” (The School Magazine: Countdown, 2026.)

A tiny balloon wishes you a happy birthday in “Baby Balloon” (the toy, 2026.)

Did you see those illustrations??? LOVE!

Apparently, I have some work to do to make the second half of 2026 as wonderful as the first. I just need a pencil, paper, and tea.

Wait, has anyone seen my tea cup?
